SUPER REGIONAL COMPETITION HEATS UP IN CASPER

The Super Regional Competition just concluded here in Casper, Wyoming and we got to see some amazing competition this weekend, May 14& 15.  We had over 1,400 girls on 138 teams along with friends and family at nine different gymnasiums.  More than 1,000 matches were played by these competitive teams which is an incredible feat.  For the first time, certified officials were officiating most matches in pool play and officiated all top divisions for bracket play, creating an environment for excellence in competition.

Our competitors did not fail us, and the winners of each age division are as follows:

U12 (38 Teams):

2nd: Wright Volleyball Club-Kelly

3rd: Sheridan Volleyball Club Yellow

U14 (54 Teams):

1st: Garden Creek Volleyball Club-Stacy

2nd: Blazers

U16 (27 Teams):

1st: DMTYS-Amy

2nd: DMTYS-White

3rd: Rawlins Volleyball Club-Bailey

U18 (20 Teams):

1st: Thunderbird Volleyball Club-Black

2nd: Laramie-Rebecca

3rd: Black Hills Volleyball Club-Kayla

The host club, East Casper Volleyball Club, wants to thank all of the officials for taking the time to help us, some coming from hundreds of miles away. We would also like to thank participating clubs from adjacent states, and our selfless volunteers for dedicating more than 14 hours per day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for all of their hard work. We appreciate all you do!!
